Day 18.

How has the power of prayer helped you?
Prayer has helped me in so many ways but most recently it's been an amazing power! 
One day, a few weeks ago, while I was speaking with the missionaries we spoke about a man that was linked to both of us in completely different ways. They said that he sought them out and that they had a couple lessons with him before they couldn't reach him anymore. I took an interest in this situation because I haven't seen this man in over a year and when I saw him, he seemed troubled. I asked the missionaries to keep dilligent in trying to get ahold of this man. In the meantime, I prayed for him as often as I could remember. He never strayed far from my mind. Last night, I got together with the missionaries and a family from the church for a family home evening. We sang, ate and watched a movie about sister missionaries in the Austria area. This movie is the most inspiring movie I've watched in awhile. After the movie was over, we started to have discussions about missionaries and missionary work. I remembered the conversation I had with the missionaries in the past weeks and quickly asked Elder Robbinson about this man. He said he and his companion hadn't been able to get ahold of him lately and I offered to get ahold of him as well thinking maybe he'd open up if someone familiar contacted him. I texted him and got a response back! How cool! Suprised and excited I asked Elder Robbinson what to do! He told me to keep talking to him. Throughout the night I kept talking to him and asking him about his interest in the church and if he'd been studying. After a bit of conversation he asked if I would be a study texting partner, I quickly agreed and told him I'd love to help him! He is setting up appointments with the missionaries here and while he's been away in another state, he's been meeting with the missionaries there as well. How cool is prayer? This is only one instance in my life. Prayer is the coolest connection we have to Heavenly Father. He listens to our prayers, I know this for sure! He answered my prayer for this man. He answered my prayers this year for sure. He WILL answer your prayers but He can't answer them unless you ASK. Ask with a sincere heart and I promise you He will answer!
I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I know that He listens to us. I know that Heavenly Father loves us!
