Day 26.

"We are the light of the world and we gotta let the light shine."
It's Tuesday and after my busy Monday I am remembering how wonderful it is to be who I am. I've realized that through everything that I am doing that I can't forget who I am. Through school, church, friends, family, hanging out, doing work, what ever it may be I need to remain myself. I've taken on the task of being the example of the church on this campus. I've recently joined Student Social Work Association (SSWA) and am now a holder of the position of chaplain. Through this position I hope not only to strengthen this campus and show them who I am but to strengthen myself. It's so important as a missionary anywhere that we keep who we are and let our lights shine. God shines so bright through us when we stay true to who He wants us to be and who He makes us into. In one of my classes on Monday we had a devotional involving a song called "We Are" by Kari Jobe. This song is beautiful and truly speaks. I want you to listen to it and think about who God is making you into and how you can stay true to that being.
Listen to these words and keep them in your mind:
"We are called to the spread the news
Tell the world the simple truth
Jesus came to save, there's freedom in His Name
So let his love break through
We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine"
